Zion has been playing with one arm tied behind his back so far this season, it looks like he shook it free on Wednesday. He made tough finishes in crowds all night against the Spurs and the shots that haven't been falling started falling like normal for him. Here's a highlight clip from the Pels.

He definitely looked fantastic on both ends, maybe actually playing hard on defense is what lead to him dominating but I wouldn’t bank on some of those shots falling like they did. Some of those contested shots were absolutely ridiculous and do not fall on most nights.

Definitely good to see him in more face up situations, they've been posting him too much early this season.

He played awesome. I’ll be honest. I would’ve said the same thing If he shot 2-18.

Dude played with force, effort and intensity on both ends.

That was Duke Zion level love of the game and intangibles, which is a big part of what made him such a generational prospect.

That was by far the best game he has played in 4 years. If Zion brings that level of play to 50-75% of games, we win multiple Championships.

There was never a question really except from emotional fans with no patience. The same group that has always wanted to trade every young player we've drafted instead of letting them grown.

They did 2 years ago. That's how he shot 61% vs. the 50% or so he's been shooting this season. He's now back up to 58% FG%.

They haven't fallen so far this season in Zion's 1st 12 or so games back after 500+ days off.

Those exact types of shots were made consistently for the entire season 2 years ago.

I'd put my money on the larger sample size, that's just who Zion is. Many talk about his dunks, how big and overpowering he is, but what rarely gets talked about is he is on the very shortlist of having the best touch around the rim in the entire NBA.

Yep, that was vintage Zion. Having a much stronger group on the floor around him should elevate his game even more, too. I’d be shocked if he doesn’t do this more often than not.

Imagine an NBA player shooting in the low 50% range on high volume as an anomaly and looked at as a negative thing. And the expectations is 60% at the minimum. We spoiled.

San AntonioS front court was soft as shite. He looked awesome but I don’t think anything was ever wrong with him. He could have gotten 60 the other night. Zero resistance

There's nothing technically wrong with him, I just think it takes time coming back from that much time off and being injected into an offense with an entirely new set of teammates since he last played except for BI.

Obviously last game was a bit of the high end, but that is along the lines of what I'd expect going forward as he rounds into form. The 27ppg guy on 60% shooting with uber consistency, something like that is what we should expect going forward.

What do you mean 0 resistance? They literally tried to wall him off with 3-4 guys. The Spurs may not be a good defensive team but they absolutely tried their absolute hardest to contain Zion.

Yeah, and the shots Zion had been missing that he made in the past were the layups in a crowd and/or through contact. He's been steadily getting better as the season progressed, but against the Spurs that was the first game where it looked like the unstoppable, historically efficient Zion we saw 2 seasons ago was back.

When Zion is fed on the offensive end it pays dividends on the defensive end. It is just human nature to get excited when you are doing something good. When he is getting hacked at the rim, missing shots and not getting the whistle it effects him negatively on the defensive end.

He even said that hustling on the defensive end trickled into his offense and we definitely saw that Wednesday. Hoping he can dominate tonight and humble Ja a little bit

Larry Nance is a fly swatter for Zion. He finds a way to take out one or two defenders when Zion is coming in to the paint.

But that one play where four defenders saw him coming, wanted a piece of him and it still didn't matter; Zion scored with ease.

His confidence and sense of belonging is again going to catapult him to mega force for the rest of this year.

The 27 Ppg on 60% shooting guy

I’m not worried about that guy. Winning Zion is give a shite on defense Zion. That was what was exciting about last night. I don’t worry about Z’s offense in general. He’s going to have many great games on that end.

Last game was special bc the level of force he brought on both ends. If he would’ve only scored 8 points last night, it still would’ve been the best defensive game of his career and something to be extremely happy about.
