Confirmed tickets to SEC Championship. What’s best areas to stay. We plan to take MARTA to and from game?

Buckhead has become super dangerous. Rich drug guys have taken over the area.

Midtown or buckhead. Highly recommend the beltline area. Most walkable/lively/safe part of the city

If the city isn’t your thing, look at dunwoody. You can catch the train at perimeter mall.

I have a reservation at the Marriott Suites Midtown that I'm about to cancel. I think it's pretty close to a Marta station.

We stayed at the Mariott Marquis in downtown Atlanta. Their address is:
265 Peachtree
Center Ave. NE
Atlanta, GA 30303
Phone #(404)344-4414
This is a four star hotel with dining and Marta attached to several hotels by enclosed walkways. There are numerous things to do in this area.
The cabs come to the hotel to pick up passengers if you would rather go that way to the game. The cabbies/Limos will be waiting to get fares after the game as well to take you back to the hotel. Oh, insist on parking spot if you book with Mariott. Sometime spots are hard to get.

I'll stay in Opelika AL. Play pickleball Friday night at their great facility and drive to Atlanta Saturday morning. 1 1/2 hour drive.
