Amazon, META, Uber, Lyft, Alphabet all over-hired in the last 2 years.
Twitter is going to pick up the good ones for cheap.

Right before peak shopping season? Yikes.
Must be really bad.

You hate to see it.
So long as it’s corporate and IT, I’m cool with it.

It appears that corporate America has realized that all the WFH tech employees really aren’t as important as they think they are.

And some of y'all that hate Elon Musk are pretending to be concerned that twitter will lose leverage among employees and potential recruits.
They are in a good position to pull in exactly who they need while ditching the dead weight.

Corporate and tech roles. I'm sure they're adding positions in their warehouses as we speak.

META is the worst offender by far. They are having major issues right now.

The big facility in BR isn’t up and running yet.
Will it be impacted?

Fulfillment centers are not impacted by this.
They aren't laying off the people that actually package and move things. These are tech and PM roles that are going.

Weird how all these massive layoffs are just after an election that touted strong job growth over the last few months. Big tech, if y'all need a patsy to boost your numbers in a few years, I'll be glad to take a paycheck for a few months. Being the team player I am I'll even work for multiple companies remotely. And I won't even rant on Twitter when y'all lay me off after the votes are counted.

People should be talking about the dumpster fire at META. But they are too busy wish casting failures for twitter.

But the big one in BR isn’t open. Will it? Will Amazon expand? Are they hiring? That’s what I’m asking.

No the DC's are in good shape. Amazon is actually still expanding their supply chain right now.
Corporate and technology jobs are where Amazon is looking to cut costs. Just like META/Facebook and Google.
