Crypto losses aren't subject to wash sale rules

I doubt it but not 100% sure on those specific ones.

I know for GBTC wash sale rules do apply.

When you buy or sell an etf that holds crypto, you aren't buying or selling the crypto, you are buying or selling a security, so thus normal cap gain tax rules apply.

They do because the actual security is the EFT, not the Crypto.

You are buying and selling the ETF, not the assets inside of it. Wash sale rules apply to the ETFs therefore they would apply to you.
