Also put up a cheapo off amazon as alternative to covering an extended patio. Sunk a pole in one corner and connected to house at other 3.
Buy your own hardware from HD. Use cable instead of rope. Needs to be strongly anchored because there needs to be a lot of tension on it to keep taut.

I picked up some all stainless cable and hardware from amazon as well. But yes, it takes a great deal of tension to get them up there. Even with turnbuckles. I damn near pulled myself and ladder into the pool several times. Puckery a-hole moments.
