Is the story of Guy Fawkes another one of those things like Leonidas that’s mangled in the zeitgeist because most people are only literate about the story because of loosely-adapted comic book movie from the mid 2000s?

Celebrated many times over there with pregame chili, followed by the walk to the green with fireworks show and bonfire.

Many don’t realize that it’s actually a Protestant celebration given the history.
