Cure for a fade to the right.

Occasional (3-4 times a year) player.
Last time I played about three weeks ago, for some damn reason I was hitting my drives well (distance wise) but started hitting them with a fade to the right. Not a slice, which I have hit in the past and occasionally still do, but a instead of a slice with the ball taking a pronounced right turn not too long after beginning its ascent, it traveled beautifully straight for a much longer period of time then started drifting to the right just before hitting its apex, often drifting all the way off the right side of the fairway.
Wasn't wind; it happened no matter my direction.
Not coming around with the wrists?
Stance too far away from the ball?
Stance too far behind or in front of the ball?
Any ideas, tips, etc. appreciated. Have a company tournament in a couple of weeks, want to not embarrass myself too badly.

Why fight it, if you can do it consistent enough start playing the left side of the fairway and let it fade toward the middle.

Just play your fade.
Everything else will involve you learning a draw which takes a lot of practice which is a lot of work for a guy playing 4 times a year.

I love it when my ball goes straight and gently falls right.
You can find a lot of fades.
Draws will occasional morph into a hard hook.

If you only play 3-4 times a year, your ball flight will likely be completely different next time out without trying to change a thing.

Sounds like you have some natural talent.
Ball flight is determined by clubface and swing path.
In a fade(for right handed golfers) the face is open relative to the path.
I guess I don’t hit the ball far enough to care about a draw, but I can find my tee shots with a fade. I just set up a little open with the face at the target. My ball position is left instep.
I struggle when I fight it. Sometimes I can draw the ball by moving the ball back a little and closing my stance. Unfortunately, sometimes this results in a duck hook. Since distance is not my strength, whether the ball falls right or left does not affect my scores. IF I could hit it through the doglegs maybe I’d spend more effort working the ball both ways.

Keep doing whatever you are doing. Way easier to control a fade than a draw.

Strengthen your grip a bit, but if it's a gentle fade still staying in the fairway embrace it... Now if it's power fade ending up in the next fairway over then be concerned ..

The second half gets spent trying to never hit one again
ETA: but seriously, if you have a consistent ball flight playing 3-4 times a year be happy about it and get around the course with whatevers natural

This exactly, natural ball flight was a fade when young. Learned to hit a draw to gain length. Now I'm trying to fade off the tee 80% of the time. A poor fade gets me in trouble a LOT less than a snappy miss.

That's because golf courses don't start putting any of the trouble until about 220 out off the tee. You're always safe
