The guidrys brand is off the chain. Has allot of bell peppers, celery, onion tops etc in it.

That's why I never use the stuff, I always find it has a weird overpowering aroma. If I am feeling extra lazy I just buy the onions and chop up whatever peppers, ect I need to add with it.

I use Guidry's quite often because I sometimes have an issue with my wrist and can't chop a lot at once. You must get it fresh when it's fluffed up to nearly the top of the container with no fluids settled in the bottom. If it's settled much at all, I don't use it. That's where the "weird" smell comes from. It contains parsley and that's what does it. I wish they would leave out the parsley. It goes bad before anything else and ruins what would be an otherwise good container of chopped veggies.

Never use the stuff, I like the actual dicing with a sharp knife. But if I am really pressed for time I use a mini food processor.

True dat - I've used one of those choppers and it really does work well for a fast chop. But I still like the chef's knife, nothing beats it for control and ease of cleaning.

I don't mind using the seasoning mixes in a quick pinch, but one of the things I like about cooking is having a beer and working with my knife.
They are good when you really don't have time though.

I like to dice all my veggies myself...Gives time for an extra beer or two

Pampered Chef chopper (pictured above).
Some of the prechopped stuff is decent if time is an issue, but look at it closely for freshness
