Up so he has a big head start on understanding the passing game.

Nussmeir's Dad was an NFL QB and is currently the QB coach for the Dallas Cowboys.

I'm just sayin...

I have no idea if Howard has a good grasp of things, but Nuss. Certainly hasn’t played as if he does.

Are you trying to say that Walker was?

Nuss will get a shot after Daniels gets dinged up again at some point.

What exactly are you saying? Garret's dad taught him how to throw more INTs than Walker's dad?

Probably so. He just needs to be ready this time.

That was before his senior year had even started. He wasn’t the consensus #1 QB recruit at all. That’s not a slight to him, it’s just not true. It might surprise you but Jayden Daniels was actually rated higher than Walker coming out of high school.

Take it for what it’s worth but Nuss is a leader in this group. The players like him, they follow him, he’s an alpha personality. People on the inside know this and when you add in these meetings this week where no leaks come out plus the reported growing internal strife between Kelly and the uppers at LSU you’ve got a potential powder keg. Kelly will have to make a change or he risks this thing never getting off the ground.

If he played like Grant Noosemyer every week he'd be the GOAT.

Neither Jamie Howard, nor Doug Nussmeier played like QBs who had a great understanding of the game. Both were gunslinger types.

I was at the UT game, and one thing I noticed was Howard was often away from other QB’s mimicking pre snap reads, and simulating going through his progressions.

The kid is itching to play, and is getting better any chance he gets.

JD great kid. Lacks capacity to win with current offensive system because he won’t throw to open receivers, doesn’t see the field well and the offensive coordinator is not tailoring thing to what he does well consistently. The offensive line is not consistent enough or over powering enough to have a solid run game. There is so much wrong due to roster and coaches that this season is a practice season. It’ll all work out eventually. Cheer for the kids, have a drink and if you need to, rewatch a game from 2019. Geaux Tigers.
