Why don’t we treat long haul truckers at least as good as we treat military & vets?

They arguably provide a service which is more vital.

Truth be told, most military personnel aren’t essential to national security.

If anything, our society looks down on these important workers.

So, they should be like nurses and teachers?

They are just as annoying, so why not.

If truckers think they got it bad, try being a welder

You can just ask for the discount at Lowe’s if you want. They’ll probably give it you.

My dad was a welder.
We had it much better than my friends whose dads drove trucks.

Da fuq? Last time I checked I don’t remember seeing a long haul trucker taking a full IED blast with multiple casualties? Just because we have an idiot running this country doesn’t mean that the military is not needed because of countries like China, North Korea, or Russia.

If I had to guess I'd say more truck drivers have been killed on the job since 2001 than soldiers.

How many people make 100k a year in USA?
34.4% of US households take home more than $100,000 in 2022. Since there are a total of 129.93 million households in the country, this means that at least 44.69 million of them earn $100,000.

Dads, teach your kiddos how to honk honk the big rigs. That old tradition shouldn't die.

Long haul truckers probably won't exist in the not to near future.

They'll have AI trucks that drive themselves til they get near the destination city. Then a CDL guy will climb in to take it a short trip to park it.

They might have someone ride in it the long haul just for safety, but not a real trucker.
