If you cut jobs they just get unemployment checks from the government from printed money which just worsens inflation

Maybe I should have stayed at Holiday Inn..... how exactly would increasing unemployment curb inflation? Seems there would need to be a MASSIVE surge of unemployment over an extended period to reduce the amount of liquid cash available to have that kind of effect, and it would be very temporary at best.

Not defending the guy, but yeah. Rising unemployment is the result of intentional economic slowdown through rising interest rates and quantitative tightening.
