We were so wrong about NAW

Dude might be out of the league soon. He can barely get minutes on this trash Jazz team and is 0-10 so far in preseason.
I really thought he was gonna be good. So wrong

Who?
ETA: I am basically a casual fan, so forgive my ignorance. I really did not know who you were talking about. Figured it out however.

We'll always have that 2019 summer league.
No one can take that away from us..... Except that heat game where he was like 5-26 from the field, they can take that.

Has anyone ever flashed 35+ point games and then been so terrible?

NAW has just lost his confidence. He has a bag of skills, but he is a high volume player at his best. He’s not great at just being a role player. Unfortunately for him, but also intelligently, no organization is just going to hand the keys of their offense to NAW, so he can be semi efficient and put up big numbers in losses.

The Hornets could use him. They are deprived of talent right now.
But Danny Ainge is trying to lose games, so NAW is a welcome addition.

I mean, he is a great person to drive a tank in Utah if that is what they want.

Yeah. i mean theoretically being around Clarkson and Sexton gives him a couple different blueprints to stick in the league.
Hornets wouldn’t be a bad spot either, but I think MJ would murder him if he had a particularly horrific stretch of games lol.
OKC used to be a solid spot for him, but they have so many young players and picks, I’m not sure they really want to pair Shai and Naw together.
Does NAW have a dad who coaches like Austin Rivers does? That could also save his career. Doc threw Austin a familial life raft and he eventually became a solid role player in the league.
Tbh I’m not super against having him as a 15th man on the Pels next season after Temple’s contract expires and he retires.

Right back at you.
I simply asked a question because the OP only put initials talking about a player. I like the pelicans but don't follow closely in terms of the roster and former players.
I edited to make sure the OP knew I wasn't being snarky but simply asking the question which I found myself, with a little effort.

Comments like this are why the pels board will always be the smallest one on tigerdroppings. Why are you being a gate keeper dick hole? The guy asked a simple question, who the frick are you to get mad? Next time try being nice and easy to work with instead of an arsehole.
NAW is Nickiel Alexander Walker. We drafted him a few years ago. He showed some promise but never worked out and was traded when we got CJ Mcollum last year.

I think NAW COULD still be a productive player, but he’s got to realize that he’s not a volume scorer. He just isn’t consistent enough for it.
He needs to lean more into his passing and play with a higher IQ. Developing a floater like Jose’s would be huge for him.

I think the moment I sensed it was probably not gonna work out for him, or it was gonna take a long, hard journey to figuring it out was when they reported on what he was doing differently to get out of his funks.....which was nothing.
His entire approach was just stick to the same routine, be me, and just do it more often. No I need to fix my shot, I need to maybe think about playing a different role, I need to seek out a different approach, just an almost hard-headed belief in sticking with the same ole, same ole.

Everyone needs to take this approach to Kira and just let that not be a thing anymore.
