“We didn’t see it that way!”

How can BK say that what they saw on the field yesterday wasn’t what others saw or haven’t been seeing? I mean, in the same press conference, he admitted to getting onto JD for not throwing the ball when he needed to on that 4th down play. I know his stats don’t tell the whole story but JD isn’t an accurate passer with the ball. Yes, his completion percentage isn’t bad but it’s very misleading. There isn’t many throws that are on target and they surely don’t end up where the receivers can continue to run in stride. It’s almost like a magician who gets one over on you by deception. Some of us can see the deception and others cannot. I feel like that’s what we see when we see JD play. I would rather ride or die with another QB that will help open up the offense with his passing ability, which in turn, may open up the running game. No one is scared of JD throwing the ball. JD is who he has always been. A 3 year starter who isn’t changing his game anytime soon.

What running game?

13 points against a Tenn defense, enough said.

You’re right, the signs have clearly been there. ESPN hyped us up (Saban’s rat poison) to help this Tennessee is “amazing” narrative they want to push.
I told every TN fan I know in Knoxville to bet huge on -3.5 TN and they refused because they bought the ESPN narrative.

Where is the win in saying his QB is garbage?
He likely doesn’t want the team to quit. The team has access to the press conference too.

What will it say about BK or Nuss if Nuss does not see the field again outside of an injury to JD5?

Kelly’s quotes are not reassuring. They reek of him being a stubborn old dinosaur a la Les and jimbo.

Besides JD’s inaccuracies throwing the ball….the ball does not reach his wr in a timely manner….that’s why they don’t get yac very often…

I feel like y’all aren’t even considering the possibility that Kelly might be right, and the group think might be wrong - that Daniels might have had a much better game in the areas of concern (taking shots down the field, getting the ball out faster, etc.).
I haven’t rewatched yet, but watching live it seemed like he played a good game for the most part. Certainly not perfect and he did miss a couple of opportunities. But almost all college QB’s miss some opportunities.
His accuracy wasn’t great particularly on some of the short crossing routes. But there were catchable balls our WR’s simply didn’t catch. There were throws into tight coverage our guys weren’t able to grab. Everybody talks about our WR corps being “elite,” but they aren’t exactly making highlight plays when they do get the opportunity.
What about our complete inability to run the ball? What about the times we let a guy go completely unblocked on a 4-man pass rush? The fumble on the opening kickoff? You don’t think there’s any chance Kelly was right when he made that comment?
I’m sure I’ll get downvoted into oblivion and flamed by the same people who have been instigating this shite since fall camp started, but whatever. This place has jumped the shark. People want to burn it all down when Kelly is 4-2 in the middle of his first year, just because we got beat badly by a top 10 team and he’s not playing the QB you want? Really? Is that how mature our fan base is?

6.7 yds/catch. There were probably 10-20 times he had 4+ seconds to throw the ball. It is the quarterback.
