Actually the plays are fine. Just don't seem that way because we don't have a quarterback that can execute the play calls. I guarantee you that burrow would of scored 40 points or more with the same exact plays. Also would help if the receivers catch the ball when it hits their hands.

Bingo. Even with today's hobbled line, there were WR's wide arse open in under 2 seconds every damned time.
Jayden just doesn't see them.

And our run game would improve by 75% if we could complete a few passes downfield.

2018 tells a different story. We struggled in most games against SEC competition to score 30, hell even 20 was tough for some games. Tell me, are our offensive plays in 2022 more similar to 2018 or 2019?

No, they are not fine for our personnel because we don't have Burrow and we need more creativity. And in the 2019 offense, we barely ever subbed guys and that made it hard for defenses because they couldn't sub anyone in when we had matchups we were exploiting.

Everyone needs to get it through their thick heads that there isn’t another Burrow. Have realistic expectations. A good OC would scheme around the players we have, not the players we had 3 years ago.

Then the plays are not fine. How many years did everyone crucify Les for trying to fit a square peg in a round hole?

Reread what you posted and tell us how this makes sense to keep calling the same game plan.

Either change the player to meet the plays called or change the plays to meet your players.

This is giving me flashbacks to Les’s stubbornness against change and the god awful offenses we had under him.

2019 Burrow might have scored 40 but not 2018 Burrow. JD is in a new system with new coaches and new players. Just like Burrow in 2018.
