What's considered the best High School football class Louisiana has ever had?

What year had the best collection of talent all across the state?
If we're talking 5 stars, 2014 has the most. Fournette, Speedy Noil, Cam Robinson, Malachi Dupre.
Do you recall a year where Louisiana had more talent compared to the rest?

Yes.
My answer is as vague as your question.

Marcus Spears, Andrew Whitworth, Marquise Hill, Michael Clayton, and Shyrone Carey say hello from 2001. The building blocks of modern LSU football.

2001 without question. Whitworth, Marcus Spears, Marquise Hill, Michael Clayton,

I didn't think Hill was in that class. You also have to consider some guys that didn't go to LSU. Greg Robinson (Auburn) Dak Prescott (Mississippi St.)

Hill was part of that class he just had some hurdles where he couldn't get here until 2012. That is why he went to the NFL after playing two years at LSU.

I would take the 2001 class over any year. Whitworth, Clayton, Spears, Hill Niswanger as far a top talent all hitting. There were deeper years though.

Niswanger was in that group, too, a 4 year OL starter after redshirting in 2001.

Don’t forget Ben Wilkerson and Joseph Addai in that 2001 class!

2017 was, hands down, the best class LSU has ever had.
Jacoby Stevens
Austin Deculus
Grant Delpit
Tyler Shelvin
K’Lavon Chaisson
Jacob Phillips
Todd Harris
Kary Vincent
Myles Brennan
Ed Ingram
Tyler Taylor (Remember this guy as a freshman?)
Clyde
Saahdiq
Patrick Queen
Neil Farrell
Justin Thomas
Racey McMath
Seth Stewart (Bust)
Jontre Kirkland
Aaron Moffet
Tory Carter
Lowell Narcisse
Justin Jefferson
Mannie Netherly
Everyone bolded was at least a solid contributor, and there are NFL players littered throughout that group. Like about 14 NFL guys?
I just realized I misread the OP. I thought it was LSU’s best class. Mea culpa.
