I have two friends coming to town who don't eat seafood.

Anys suggestions on a non-steakhouse menu that is geared to chicken, pork, and beef more than seafood items (or at least a balnce). I just didn't want to resign to a steakhouse or Italian since I was trying to keep in New Orleans-ish since they both love creole sauces and food, just not seafood.

I already hit Cochon, Jacquesimo's, Dick and Jenny's, and Dante's with them.

I was thinking Clancy's or Marigny Brassiere.

That is a good one.

I just brought my gf there, and I am trying to show her new places, but an exception could be made I think for such a great restaurant.

Ate there a few months ago and I was really not impressed. No one thing in particular turned me off, just not an impressive dining experience.

Just for supper? You could also take them to Port o Call for a burger for lunch or Central Grocery for a muffaletta. As for super.....you have eliminated almost anywhere I can think of. Maybe one of Emeril's restaurants.

If you still have Sunday's paper laying around, they did their fall dining piece and Brett Anderson profiled his top ten and a list of 100 great N.O. places. Might can look there for some ideas for places you don't really think about all of the time.

If they have never been to Ralph's on the Park, look into that if the menu works for you.

I wasn't blown away either, but that was when they first opened. Was just trying to think of somewhere different.

Thanks for the suggestions...Luke and Ralph's are good ones.

I dont think wanted to spend "Emeril's" type money...I think they were looking for a litle cheaper.

I run into this problem everytime they come into town. My freshman year at Sewanee (this where the friends are from) was eye-opening. I was unaware that all people weren't catholic and loved seafood.

Am I included in your Thanksgiving Day festivities or is it just family?

I need to burst my parent's bubble soon if I am not going to attend the obligatory family function.

Mat and Naddie's is a good one...I never think of that place.

What's wrong with Galatoire's? There are plenty of great non-seafood items on the menu.
