Jordan St. in Shreveport is pronounced Jerdan.

My dad and all his south Mississippi family call the Jourdan River (in MS) the Jerdan River. They also pronounce the home of Brett Farve, 'Kiln, Mississippi' 'Keel, Mississippi'
