With the way the offense has looked with J.D. and Nuss I think you start Walker Howard now. You sure can’t do any worse. Would’ve been better to have get warmed up with Southern, N.M. but we need someone in there that doesn’t look lost.

Our fans are taking it to a whole new level of stupidity this year, calling for the third string QB.

Daniels gives us the best chance of winning this season. Nuss is being polished and Coach Kelly told Jamie Howard his son would redshirt. End of story.

Does J.D. and Nuss not look totally over their heads? Our offense is horrible and Boutte needs to be benched until gets gets his head on straight

Nope. If you want to ruin him like LSU did his dad then you do it. This is a rebuild not a reboot. Let that kid develop and learn. If he is what they say he is he will play next year or the year after.

Neither QB looks “lost” out there. Daniels holds the ball a bit and has trouble coming off his first receiver, but seems confident running and isn’t afraid. Nuss is not the runner like JD but seems to sling it around pretty good. We just haven’t put it together just yet.

Howard is the qb of the future.

Howard will not see action in more than 4 games - he is redshirting.

It is best for him and best for LSU.

I’m not happy with JD at all and think he’s a really bad QB but it would be stupid to put Howard in now and potentially ruin him. Like others are saying, this is a rebuilding process and we all knew that before the season started. LSU will not be competing for anything that’s actually meaningful this year so there is no reason to throw a freshman QB into the fire.

BK should not play Howard a second before he's ready, IMO.

This is not a playoff team. You don't want a freshman QB learning the ropes behind this o-line while they're developing chemistry.

I see few advantages for starting Howard and a lot of potential risks, and for what kind of payoff?

He is not ready for the SEC at this time; he would not be playing with an experienced line either.
