Whatever they would get at the deadline is probably comparable to what they would get this off-season. It’s worth trying to win this year to make a run and convince a talent like him to stay IMO

I don’t see enough on that team outside of him and Trout to make a serious run, but I agree that I would wait until the deadline before dealing him.

they'll have the same team next year ,and as theyre trying to sell the team they wont any significant long-term FA signings
