Republicans voted for HW Bush over Buchanan. They then voted for John McCain and Mitt Romney over Ron Paul. Dems nominated Bill Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry, Obama, HRC and Biden. We most certainly do support state sponsored terror, otherwise we'd have Ron or Rand Paul as President.

it is crazy that even the democrat presidents have neocons advising them on foreign relations. these people are very hard to get rid of. like a hydra embedded in the state department and foreign policy establishment. Obama was talked into droning people destroying Libya and Syria.

I heard a good argument for the US being involved. The purpose was to keep Germany from having the option of making a deal with Russia when the winter hits.

This was a great piece.
The Pimps of War.
They have a chokehold on U.S. foreign policy and there is nothing that can be done. Even Trump was sucked into putting Bolton on board and it looks now like Pompeo was the guy trying to keep things going down the neocon path all along.

Huge disappointment. I had high hopes for that guy.

You really think Biden plans anything? You really think whoever is running our country cares what our president thinks? He (Biden) does what he is told to do and says what he is told to say. Just my opinion

I didn’t get duped by Qanon, and the US doing it is the most plausible culprit. Blowing up this pipeline removes any lever that Russia has on Germany.

When you realize the Cold War was a ruse, it becomes crystal clear. We didn't fight Communism, we fought Stalinism. At the end of WW2, the Democrats were already the party of foreign intervention. It was the right who opposed America's imperial desires. In the 1950's and 1960's, the neocons began infiltrating the Republican Party and the State Department. They were mainly Trotskyists who had nothing in common with the Old Right and its values.

There's a reason Robert Taft never won the Republican nomination. He was an actual conservative who believed in limited government. Neocons want an even bigger state than most leftists. They poisoned the American right and destroyed the only political outlet for limited government, leaving those who wanted America to look inward and focus on itself with almost no political voice whatsoever.

I love that for some:

Thinking that we destroyed infrastructure of an oil exporting nation at a time in which we are actively and publicly supporting their enemy on the battle field constitutes a conspiracy theory and demands evidence to be a credible hypothesis...

But thinking that same oil exporting nation destroyed their own infrastructure is the only logical conclusion and needs no evidence.

Yeah. Maybe you just aren't all that intelligent.

Given our history... from the USS Maine to the Gulf of Tonkin... the idea that our government is above doing something provocative is... naive.

They made peaceful their enemy. As a Christian I don't see how Christians support either party. Neither party has been peaceful for a long time
