OMG LSU -9 at Aub! Yet LSU isn’t ranked, they respect us even though they don’t!

LSU vs Aub has always been one I would stay away from if betting on college games. LSU could win by 14 or lose by 3. But an unranked LSU being a 9 point favorite is definitely showing respect for LS.U, despite not being respected and ranked in the polls.
TTT - This reminds of the guy in the bar who is disrespectful mouthing off insults, yet stays clear of the people he insults out of fear of getting his ##% kicked!

We don’t even have a win against a ranked team yet. We won’t have a chance of being ranked until after the Tennessee game, if we win.

It really has more to do with how little the handicappers think of Auburn right now.
In the "Vegas power ratings" LSU is currently looked at as a top 20-25. Auburn is a sub 60 team. On a neutral field LSU would be a 10 point favorite. With the game being at Auburn, they received the homefield bump which is why the line opened at -7.5 LSU.
To give a bit of context, LSU (right now) would be rated the 8th best team in the SEC (though the margin between team 3 - Tennessee and team 8 - LSU is a relatively slim 6 points)

Rankings don’t mean anything right now. We just need to win the games and develop a team for future. This year is about establishing culture and identity
