I binged it all day. I’m on episode 7 now. Peters has been incredible. Really enjoying this show. Creepy AF Dahmer was. I knew most of the story but have learned some too.

Watched the first episode, I like the way it was done and the different perspectives on it from those in Dahmer's orbit.
Also, Evan Peters is really good in the role. The mannerisms, posture, voice, all perfect and on point.

It seems like the show is pretty true to real life.
It's amazing how many times this guy should have been busted but skated by and kept killing people.

So, here I am watching episode 2 eating a nice chick fil a salad, and all of a sudden, his dad takes him out looking for road kill. Then proceeds to take a heart out of a dead raccoon. What the hell is wrong with me?

We all kinda know someone like that though, right? Like growing up there was always some weird dude that you wouldn't be surprised to hear something about later on..

I finished it a few minutes ago.
The acting was excellent by the guys who played Jeffrey and his dad.
I thought it was good to show the human suffering by the victims' families. I have a daughter the same age as that Laotian kid and seeing his family suffer struck a cord with me. The documentaries I've seen stuck to Jeffrey, his upbringing and his murders.
Did those cops really call harassing that family like that?
They brought up Ed Gein. Holy shite I'm going down that rabbit hole next.

Nothing wrong with a docudrama on the families and survivors…what they went through. Dividing up the series the way this one did, blows. Netflix used it for ESG credits as much as possible. Twisted facts and inserted Niecey Nash in way too much.
Leaving Dahmer as just evil is such a wet fart. He wasn’t evil, he was damn crazy. Didn’t belong in prison. He belonged locked away in a mental institution until he died. But Netflix isn’t calling many people these days “Mentally Ill”, so it’s pretty on brand.

What is ESG? What facts did they twist? I'm wondering if those cops really harassed that family like that. It's horrible if they made that up.
I think the point of view of the victims' families needed to be told.
This I do agree with.

Binged this over the weekend. It was by far one of the most unsettling things I've watched because this really happened.
It was so creepy but I couldn't stop watching it. The actor playing Dahmer is amazing. I hope he got counseling after filming. He had to be screwed up for sometime.
I appreciated the view from his neighbors and the victim's families. How this affected them gets lost in this story. Obviously the families had to learn how to deal with a loss of a loved one in such a horrific manner but the neighbors who lived in the building had to deal with it as well. I can't imagine living there and hearing the noises coming from that apartment. The screams, the fights, the drills. My God.
Everyone who had any contact with Dahmer suffered. He destroyed a lot of people.

I had no idea about the neighbor's part of the story.
Still have the final episode to go, but the episode about the deaf guy was heartbreaking.

Yes, that episode was just awful. This absolutely shows Dahmer just wanted to kill.

I rarely skip ahead in movies/shows, but I skipped ahead through most of this episode. I was able to get the gist even while fast forwarding. Something about the character being deaf just made it 10x worse for me.
Guy was black, deaf, and gay and still making the most of his life and trying to make a path for himself, and ran into a sadistic, evil MF.

That's what made it so gut-wrenching. Tony's family was super-accepting of who he was, how he lived, etc. That Dahmer backed off of the drugging his drink a couple of times was encouraging, but you know how the story ends.
If he could've gotten out of his own way and let himself be who he was, the love of someone who accepted him for who they thought he was might've been enough to keep the demons at bay.

Was talking to a friend about the show this weekend and we wondered how long Dahmer would've gotten away with it had he had a standalone house. Kind of terrifying to think about.
