So can we say Baskerville and Perkins are officially the starting LBs?

You can’t take Perkins out he’s just a freak and is going to be an absolute beast rushing the passer and Baskerville is as steady as they come and has the sideline to sideline speed to play well in coverage. I hate it for Mike Jones, all accounts he’s a great guy and works hard and is a leader on the team but he’s just not ready to be the starting Mike LB for LSU. I think he’s best outside.

If you listen to what bk says . He’s gonna play a lot but against running teams I think it will still be jones or Penn too.

He’s definitely going to be in as a pass rusher.
We’ll see how much else.

I thought LB was going to be a week spot, but they have a pretty solid 5 man rotation.

Will be interesting to see how DC House decides to use these 4 - Baskerville, Perkins, Jones, and Penn.
Last season, when the DEF really improved, M. Jones was in that traditional OLB position. Comments from CBK indicate Perkins will be a pass-rusher with OJU and Gaye on selected downs and distances. Weeks also seems to be coming along too. Nice to see a LB group/rotation that can contribute on DEF and ST.

Keeping them rotated is a great idea. Perkins is going to be so damn special.
