I lost my class ring in the 90s. 15 or so years later, in another parish, my aunt is teaching 1st grade and sees some kids playing with something. She asks to see it and it’s my class ring with my name inscribed on the inside. The kids said they got it from an older cousin.

I found a 20 dollar bill folded up. Picked it up and unfolded it. It was fake and inside it said "Got you, you stupid greedy bastard"

Walking around a crowded mall and found a photo on the ground of my ex that I wish I hadn’t ended it with at the time. Rough day.

I walked home from the Astrodome one night after the Houston Rodeo. On my journey, I found a Samsung mp3 player (I no longer have it) and a Blackberry cellphone which I still have. It's in mint condition. I never tried to get service on it and I also tried to return it. But the person never contacted me.

I found around $100 dollars while staying at Aloft Hotel walking my dog behind the Galleria.

A gun holster new in its package that perfectly fits one of my pistols. Must have blown out of someone’s vehicle.

During the Covid school closures in 2020, the big thing around here was for the kids to draw sidewalk art with chalk, messages and so forth. Some of the drawings were quite good.

I still look for them on my daily walks.

When I was 12 me and my buddies were poking around a construction site a couple days after they had been blasting limestone. We found a blasting cap. We turned it in to the authorities...

frick that, we set it off with a 5 foot long cut off extension cord. We put it in the crotch of a tree limb with my dumb arse on the other side of the tree trunk touching it off with a 9 volt battery like the Rat Patrol.

An Italian made VS-MK2 anti-personnel land mine.

But this was near Soyo Angola. That wasn't necessarily "recreational" walking.

The weirdest thing I ever found..... when I was a wee young lad I found a Polaroid of a dude holding his dick with a cigarette in his fingers. Right up against the curb a few houses down from me. Yup, 10 year old me found a dick pic.

That reminds me of a trip the family took to Dallas/Fort Worth. We were northbound off the interstate in FW on the way to the hotel and I spotted a large low branched mulberry tree in a vacant lot. The hotel was 2 more blocks down the road. Got the family settled and walked down the street and ate my fill of mulberries. Must of been 10,000 vehicles pass by while I was feasting. A good day.

Such a nice view of the Congolese river on the way out of the Soyo airport. Flew from there to Luanda in a prop plane. Beautiful open country. I want to go back one day to see what the rest of that country looks like.

Was at my godmother’s house in Terrytown and my cousin and I found a pistol. Cops collected it. We were raised around guns so we knew not to mess with it. It was in fact loaded.
