Jenkins and Boutte are getting drafted in April. There will be 2 open starts at WR. If Bech is good enough to start, he'll start.

Jenkins and Boutte are both X recievers and Bech is more of a Y which is where Taylor has been playing. Bech is not losing snaps to Jenkins, Boutte or Neighbors, he's losing snaps to Taylor.

Mason Taylor pretty much took his spot

I don’t think he’s better than Boutte or Nabors.

We run probably too many 2 TE sets for a team who’s second TE is Kole Taylor.

Thomas has looked good this year. So has Jenkins. Idk what’s going on with Bech.

Not reading further. I’ll admit he miss times routes but I’ve watched his dyes go through progressions, look off safeties and then put the ball where his guy can get two hands on it at least

Agree about the OC. Gosh, he's not very good. First half play-calling was abysmal. JD needs to learn how to go through his checks. At times, he had time this past game to pitch a tent, take a nap and complete a pass. Yet, most of those times, he looks at his first receiver and if covered, he takes off. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but he won't be so successful at it when he's running to elude All SEC players from SEC schools.

Thank you, I think that answers the question. I guess when he caught a pass in the FSU game it was bothering him enough not to play against Southern or Moo St.

Well since you are a stat guy, the stats prove that comment wrong!!!

Bech has a better yd/avg both this year and last year. Looks like Bech is a better receiving target than Taylor if you are looking at the stats! haha

Your hard on for Bech to be better than he actually is has lasted longer than 4 hours. See a doctor. 2 catches all year for 22 yards.

I'd like to see them experiment with taking Taylor off the field and replace him with Bech in obvious passing situations.

A thousand times this. Taylor is getting way too much playing time, even getting flexed out where Bech should be.

If they substitute then the defense can substitute. The "tempo" and no huddle LSU is running is a huge factor here and they are choosing to have Taylor in for run downs more than Bech in for passing downs.

Sorry if germans, is Bech hurt?
In one way, I hope this is still the case.
If he's still nicked up then maybe a month from now we will see him making a difference on the field.
If he's not still injured, then maybe he's not a good practice player and that means serious bench time. Prolly sits him right next to Shorts.
CBK mentioned Bech's practice effort right before the shin splint situation came to light.
Really hope that's not the case.

Bech was wide open on multiple routes in the first half. I just think the chemistry with Daniel’s isn’t there yet.

Augghhh! You saw it before I did!
Even just on "general principles" it's difficult not to tune somebody up when they tee it so high!

Thank you ...yes... and getting better at that every game. Having time to read through the progression is another big point, which he had more against MSU.

Guilty as charged :)

Opinions vary. Kinda similar to Bech actually being a weapon at wide receiver.

Or, we just appreciate a guy that came in and did what was needed last year.

They talked all spring about how loaded the WR room was. That it was the strength of the team. Maybe we'd just like that to be proven true.

The team is coming into its own. I’m excited to see how they gel if Daniels can get protection, he has the arm strength to make the throws.

One sign of encouragement was seeing Kelly coach him up late. If Daniels can keep from getting hurt with all the running, he’ll spread it out and they all will eat.

He's got to be able to consistently look at more than 1 receiver, and he's got to trust them to get open and make a play. Boutte, Jenkins, Nabors, Bech, Lacy - that's a solid veteran group. Throw with some anticipation of where they'll be and this offense will light up.

The chemistry will be there when Walker takes the reins.
