Starting Daniels is a disaster? He, along with the defense, are the reasons LSU won.

You want Nussmeier? He was absolutely horrible against Southern. State would have chewed him up and spit him out, and LSU would have lost.

He is healthy. There must be some personal beef between Brian Kelly and Bech. Wouldn’t shock me if he is outta here ne t season if he doesn’t get more action this year.

Brian Kelly chose him as one of the guys to represent LSU at Media Day (I think they said he was the first sophomore ever chosen). So that doesn't seem likely.

Absolute bullshite! His high school stats and last years stats prove you are wrong. Especially when you look at a lot of the WR's you say have passed him up were on the team last year and they didn't play in front of him.

That kid can get open and he can catch. One of the best route runners on the team, and probably the best hands.

So he isn't hurt and it is obviously something to do with his relationship with the coaches. Disappointing.

Boutte has zero TD's in the first three games "with one of those games a 50point beat down for Southern" and Bech has two catches in 3 games, very disappointing.

Not good SEC ones.

Dude, he is good. He made big plays for us last year and was our 3rd leading WR as a true freshman. He was tough and very effective at catching the ball and getting tough years after the catch.

But things happen and I'm sure he'll eventually get more involved. Hell, Boutte isn't putting up significant numbers either right now, so shite happens (though they are obviously attempting to get the ball to Boutte). Maybe it's the position change affecting his impact, but we've tried to get it to Taylor numerous times. Perhaps if Bech was playing TE like last year, he'd be getting those looks. We have a good WR group, so it's not like we have scrubs there. Sometimes guys just have to be patient.

This thread is fricking hilarious. Like Bech is even comparable to Quinn's situation. Completely ignoring Quinn never did much at LSU but Bech in his true freshman year did very well across the board.

If any of you think BK doesn't want him involved more in the offense then you're stupid too.

This is the same way the rant did with Trey Quinn

Not true, Quinn had the drops at LSU which was blamed on poor eyesight and he was fitted with contacts.

Bech had no drop problems and played lights out last year, the only receiver better than Bech last year was Boutte.

Don’t be an idiot. Bech feasted vs LBs and Safeties all last season playing in a receiving TE role.

That is absolute bullshite, he absolutely does create mismatches at TE with LB's covering him. But he isn't a blocking TE so it isn't difficult to figure a pass play is coming when he is in the game.

He did well in slot last year, and that is where he should play. He catches just about everything thrown his way.

Your definition of feast and mine are different. He had a total of 2 tds in conference play and less than 500 yards receiving on the year. Max Johnson threw 27 touchdowns last year and 3 went to Bech. At best he’s a solid possession receiver.

Like I said, y’all have a taste in your mouth for him to be better than he is.

So here's the facts I'll lay down for everyone in this thread

1.) Nobody knows what's going on with Bech. Might have an injury we don't know about. Maybe it's other reasons like I'll mention below but to suggest he isn't good enough is beyond fricking stupid considering his production last year.

2.) Denbrock. Yes, he's a problem. Both BK/Denbrock have not built a scheme towards Daniel's strength. He's a one-read QB he needs to process as little as possible to make a play. They don't shrink the field enough for him and they definitely don't optimize a scheme around his strengths. They lack thought or innovation like some of the younger minds do no matter who is in front of them. Kiffin is a great example. So, yes, BK/Denbrock's scheme is part of the problem here which is why Boutte is also struggling.

3.) You have Stevie Wonder at QB who can't see the field or throw anticipation routes. This is going to minimize all WR roles and potentially make them frustrated. If they don't improve the scheme or him seeing the field we're going to see several guys in the portal by end of season. He has lots of talent but Denbrock is not the guy to get the most out of it. They're slamming the pegs in the wrong holes for Daniels.

Quinn's biggest problem wasn't his eyesight. His biggest problem was that he got absolutely crushed by an Auburn defensive back when he tried to make a catch across the middle. After that, he dropped almost every catch in the middle, but made some spectacular catches on the sidelines.

It wasn't his eyesight, it was his hearing. He heard footsteps across the middle.

You kinda proved his point

He was a true freshman last year. A TRUE FRESHMAN. You want to start posting numbers of all the big time LSU WRs over the years with their true freshman years?

JD has to have some time but receivers need separation. Not every throw needs to be 25+ yards.
