BJ obviously dominated this play as well from the interior, but good lord luck at Harold Perkins’ bend off the edge. Dude will be special

He is cat quick and never really had to physically touch the OL. Freakishly athletic. That was an awesome call by House also, that dude dialed up some really good stuff last night.

The difference in the defense boiled down to House taking out Mike Jones and putting in Baskerville and Perkins the rest of the game.

It seems they want to keep Penn and jones in their heavier package.

And it appears he was held on that play! Should have been a sack with a penalty (which we would have declined).

Jones made a few nice plays last night. He was in on one of the 4th down stops and was better in rush, obvious run situations.

He gives us depth, but I agree Perkins and Baskerville should be starting.

The uniform colors confused the ref's. The thought it was Bama.

Perkins looked great rushing up the middle as well.

I would say it is that he is still learning the job(s). He has only played 3 games. Some may be packages but the more he learns the more he will be on the field.

Perkins lateral quickness is that if a tailback, that lineman had no chance. He needs more time out there, he also had some crucial stops , just crazy good instincts and speed for a freshman, even being a high caliber recruit…

Is this the case? I thought that MSU was leaning on the run early in the game and that's why House had the heavy LB package in. Not the other way around. Regardless whatever adjustments were made completely shut them down after the first half. My guess is this sack gave the QB a concussion because he never looked the same.
