He must not have had a good fall camp if he couldn’t beat out Haynes King, who looked like one of the worst starting qbs in the country.

Had Max not transferred, he'd be our starter. Wish him well.

Max will play his heart out. He leaves it on the field even if he doesn’t have as much talent to offer.
In the end, this team needs more than a QB
Miami roles aTm hard

The level of vitriol towards this guy is absurd. People need to move on.

lol ok. He's probably better than King at this point. Jimbo is feeling it.

If Texas 8&4 loses to Miami this week, I think they go 1-5 to start. Their next 3 games are MSU, Ark and Bama.

A part of me holds ill will toward Max for leaving LSU before a bowl game. His selfishness toward his former teammates, coaches and Tiger fans are almost unforgiveable.

That said, however, I wish him good luck and hope he does well and earns the starting job at A&M. Not that he deserves it, only because he wore the purple and gold briefly.

They can't possibly believe this..
"Johnson will be replacing King for the starting job and will be bringing a smart pocket presence, great vision and experience to the maroon and white offense."

Max had the WORST pocket presence I've ever seen. I remember yelling to the TV to get rid of the ball or run out of the pocket!! I think half his sacks were because he was UNAWARE of where the rush was coming. So, really not buying this reasoning.

Remember Max Johnson in the Alabama game in Tuscaloosa 2021. He was awful worse than awful. Everyone we have on bench is better than Max. How is his brother doing at receiver?
