I just don't see these things going away in these places even though they are completely unnecessary.

My Doc in Tomball doesn't require them in the office...since, like, April.

Went to Womans Hospital yesterday and they have taken almost all restrictions off now, including masks

I had a drs appt yesterday. Nurse wore one. Dr had one around his neck but didn't use it. We both one with us but weren't asked to put on.

my doc made them optional for a while but has gone back to requiring them....i think it's ridiculous but that's what it is....

I can’t ever see them taking away masks and Covid isolation procedures in nursing homes.
The CMS brass should be behind bars for what they have done to NH patients for the past 2 years.

haven't worn to pediatrician office in a while... although I imagine they put them back on with the quickness.
Even during the general public's moron phase, our doctor wouldn't wear his mask with us, but to be fair, his daughter works with my wife every day, so I guess we are already all exposed.

I have forgotten to bring a mask to the doctor a couple of times the past 3-4 months. Never told anything. Get LOTs of dirty looks from certain groups.

Nope. Went to orthopedist last week. Not one person had a mask on and no one asked my vax status.
My allergist is a different story.

Two big hospitals up here are Willis Knighton and Christus.
Knighton requires masks, Christus does not. In the last 4 months over a dozen nurses and lab techs from Knighton have transferred to Christus. Not more pay, but they're sick of wearing masks.

quote:I had to take my brother to UMMC because he was on driving restrictions and they won't let you in without one. I have been to places where plenty of people are still wearing them but to each their own. Some were with multiple comorbidities (like weighing 400 lbs) so I suppose there might be a chance of reducing viral load lessening the severity of the illness if they did get it. But, it doesn't bother me one bit if someone chooses to wear one.

It bothers me being forced to wear one.

I work for a Large Medical Practice and we have been maskless for months.

Pre-covid, they were very common during flu season, ya dingleberry.

No, they weren’t.

Nursing homes are a joke — if a resident comes into ours NOT up to date on boosters he or she must quarantine for ten days in their room. It’s stupid at this point.

Evidently, have an appointment next week and received a text saying “Masks are required”
