People talking about him running early.
I actually like it.His vision is good when he takes off.He sees a lane and he is gonna get a lot of 1st downs and keep drives alive.i rather have daniels in there extending drives than nuss forcing throws

That’s not gonna cut it when we hit league play. Once teams have the ability to compress the field with better man coverage they’re going to commit a couple of guys to Daniels and that will be that. The QB cannot ignore large areas of the field the way he does, the offensive design will have to change to suit him better.

On his first touchdown run, Boutte was so open. No one within 10 yards of him. Our receivers were so much better that the SU dbs that an inability to find an open receiver is scary.

Yeah that’s not gonna be good during Sec play.

this was my concern from the game. while watching, i kept saying to myself: “Are our WR’s truly not getting separation against SU??”

I like it until it’s against an actual D.
Would rather him use his feet as a secondary instinct rather than primary

Daniels is a gamer. Please believe MSU D-coordinator will be stressing to keep him contained. Its much harder on a defense when they have to deal with a QB like him when its 3rd & 6. As long as he's keeping the chains moving and not turning over the ball...im good. He'll get better with identifying throwing lanes as the season continues.
90% of the people b*tching about him never wanted him to win or thought he could win the job in the first place and now they can't get over the fact that he's our best QB. They are running out of thread material.

I believe that was the 2nd and 3rd string players.

A couple of guys? How would that work?

I would just like him to run to pass and keep his eyes downfield. If he can learn that we can be dangerous.

He’ll get exposed and crushed in SEC play

I thought he did this pretty well yesterday.

It looked to me like we worked heavily on the sprint out passes this week. Would assume it would be to help negate the rush on an inexperienced OL.

Same way it always works against a QB who’s limited on where he can hurt you throwing the ball.

Yeah, agreed about his vision but i think the debate is over Jd gives us the best chance to win this year, anyone that argues otherwise isn't someone to be taken seriously.

JD had an open path for the TD, so his decision is equivalent to a first basemen going to the bag himself rather than a toss to the covering pitcher. No reason to throw unless that is the only way to score or pick up first down.
I think JD is doing just fine, and much better than I anticipated. He has great running ability and I am confident when SEC teams come up to tackle him, he will find the open receiver abandoned by those tacklers. JD is far from our biggest concern.

I watched Daniels on a particular scramble play. If you notice, the LSU WR's NEVER break their routes. I watched 2 WR's stand 3 yards from one another and not ONE of them broke long. That was a staple for 2019. When Burrow scrambled SOMEONE would break long. I have yet to see that this year from this WR group.

Yea I don’t see why some fans are still bitching about Daniels. It seems like everytime he does throw the ball it’s pretty dang accurate.
Daniels is one of my least concerns on the team right now.
