Up until about 15 years ago, if a college program had played for 4 NCs and won 3 in the span of 16 years and 19-20 winning seasons in a row. Even LSU fans would consider it a success. Now, when a coach wins only 8 games...maybe 9 even, he's a bummer.
It's the Saban effect....other than 2007, I don't think Alabama has lost more than 2 regular season games in a single season. So we look around and ask why we can't do that?

Spoiled by the best overall era of LSU sports
I know a young guy that acts like this IRL. He's 28. His earliest memories of LSU sports was when we shocked TN in the SEC Championship in 2001.
Meanwhile my earliest memories of LSU sports were losing four years to John Bond.

Drink too much causing wide swings of emotions, bad times/moments are worse than they truly are and good times are way better than they actually are

I can admit I am a best and worst fan. I love LSU, but I despise Brian Kelly. I dislike him and that's my right, and the fact that they signed an absurdly long and overpriced contract for the mediocrity he will bring is laughable. I don't think he will have terrible seasons, he will limp along to never winning a championship. 2 and 3 loss seasons for the next decade does not appeal to me.
