HE MOST certainly wanted this big game for him and his team. He pretty much said it. He was super excited and emphasized to the media post game they wanted this game....LSU, in the Dome, and the only game of the day and night. Center stage.
Then that doesn't reflect very well on our coaching staff. Kelly should've wanted this game just as much, to start off his chapter at LSU with a signature win. Instead he got schooled and, according to the media pundits, we were the biggest losers of the weekend.

FSU playing Neck after every defensive stop was a giant FU to our administration
You know why they played it so fast?

Were their fans yelling STSDB? Probably not. There’s a reason we don’t play it anymore.

I’m a TGBFTL member from the late 80’s.
I hate to say it but the current band has really declined. It’s been a gradual slide for a number of years. I attribute it to not having a career Band director anymore. They go through directors so fast I can’t even keep up with it anymore.
Their sound, music play list, drill, all of it just seems like it has really declined. The fans don’t help because of how much traditional music they’ve gotten banned.
People complained that there were too many Latin shows under Frank Wickes and Linda Moorehouse, but the band was sharp back then and very loud.
No offense to the current director Dr. Jones, but LSU should've done a nationwide search for a new director when Roy King got fired. The first guy on the list should've been Auburn's band director. He's got LSU ties and he's made their band one of the best in the SEC. Tiger Band looks and sounds small compared to most other opposing bands. That said, I have to give them kudos for 2019. I don't know if they managed to get some of Joe Burrow's swagger or what, but they absolutely blew both the OU and Clemson bands out of the building during the playoffs.

Ofcourse, I don't want to imply that it meant nothing to Lsu by any means. Im sure it also meant alot. But it definitely appeared FSU fans and band were bringing more energy on TV.
It looked like that on TV because FSU did bring more energy, on the field, in the stands and the band.
I am not down on my tigers but I have never been to a game where I thought the opposing team and fans brought more passion

The FSU version of Neck is really bad - nothing like the magic of the LSU version.

They will be 0-2 after this week but it should get better after that.

During pregame, band leader dropped the baton before the band did the pregame salute...omen of things to come...
Saw that and thought the same thing. Then the FSU baton queen came over and wowed us in front of the LSU band.

As a team, coach, band, and the fans, would you not want to beat a team that recently won the title (despite it's recent woes?)
LSU is a national brand. The only positive thinking I can have as an LSU fan. I hope we can be back soon to national prominence.

This is the band equivalent of a special teams error

Nah, I was sitting closer to LSU band and FSU band (and fans) were way louder. It was honestly shocking and disappointing, especially crowd noise.

Southern’s band is loud. That doesn’t make them good.

Southern's band will blare out some not so quality music while they dance. But they are amazing in their own way and you can bet you will hear neck like last week as LSU's bands hands are tied. Southern fans will believe that their band was best and Lsu's will enjoy its band's sound better. But southerns band director will play what he wants and his dance line will dance as they please as Lsu administration dictates the interest of its students.

With Southern band coming in Saturday they will get hammered again to 0-2
