I really enjoy drinking some Leinenkugel's when I go visit in in-laws in Minnesota....

is there a spot in Baton Rouge that sells this delicious beverage?

I asked a friend of mine from Wisconsin about Leinies while I was there last year. He said none of the locals drink that garbage, only tourists and southerners.

I'm sure a package store will carry them. Their red beer is horrific..

I tried this beer and I thought it was horrible. I could not even finish one. The only other beer that this has happened with is Abita Pecan. Both beers =

Could not finish the first one of these myself. I have seen Lennies at the liquor store on perkins near college.

WalMart on college has it. I enjoy it every now and again. The Sunset Wheat is pretty good!

thanks for that "tid-bit" of information there BehindtheWoodshed...although I have not been to the new Leblanc's in Walker as of yet...my wife does a good bit of our family's grocery shopping there....I will have to tell her to keep an eye out..

that is pretty strange. I know a lot of people from Wisconsin and they all love Leinenkugels. frankly, i don't think i've met a single person from Wisconsin that didn't list Leinies as one of their favorite beers. up here in the wisconsin border states you can find it on tap at most bars.

anyway, I think they make pretty good beer. they have a solid oktoberfest and honey weiss is also a very good beer.

Every grocery store and liquor store will have the more popular varieties.

When I lived in Madison WI there were plenty of folks drinking Leine's - the Honey Weiss is pretty good. But they make a lot of small brewery beers up there, New Glarus makes some outstanding stuff. Unfortunately you can only get it within the state of Wisconsin for some reason - no outside distribution :(

New Glarus Spotted Cow is one of my favorite beers. Very sad that they don't export outside the state; I make a point to get some anytime I am in Wisconsin.

I've had the Spotted Cow before... it's above average, but nothing special.

It's rated a 'B' on beeradvocate, which is about right. That rates a little higher than most Leinenkugel brews, but I don't think there's a huge difference.

Well, except that we can get Leinenkugel down here and now Spotted Cow.

Sunset Wheat has a striking taste resemblance to Fruity Pebbles. Thats all I can think about when I drink one.

I enjoy Leinie's as well, particularly the Honey Weiss. Every time I visit Chicago I hit the Honey Weiss draft hard.

I picked a 6-pack up about a year ago. 4 are still in my fridge. I thought I was drinking perfume.
