AR 17/24 168 yards passing rushing 11 carries 106 yards 3 tds

Jayden was 26/35 209 yards 2tds passing (Kayson dropped 4 passes by the way) 16 carries 114 yards

The only difference is Florida won and looked better as a team and we looked horrible at every position but QB and yall still want someone else at QB?

Are we going to gloss over the fact that Utah was #7 and coming off of a 10 win season while FSU missed a bowl game last year?

Boutte was a massive liability last night but so were ALL of our coaches and 80% of the players on the field.

Utah maybe ranked as high as 7 but they don't have the talent of Florida State in any recruiting rankings

He was pretty bad until the last couple drives. He looked down receivers, was a one read and scramble QB. I'm not sure we have much of a choice to not play him given the OL issues but what we had going for most of last night was not a sustainable system.

Utah is a better program than FSU is, and has been for about a 5 years now.

Again, comparing apples to oranges. JD probably does come to LSU if billy is the head coach. Most transfers probably do come.

It’s dumb to compare players and teams.

Go rewatch the Utah game. AR was smooth and in control of that game. Utah had no answer

And yet it put us in scoring position two of the first three drives, which we squandered with two dropped TD passes and a bad snap on 2nd & goal.

It also forced FSU into running a spy in the second half.

Could he have been better? Of course. But if you look at all phases of the game I think the QB play is pretty far down the list of things that went wrong.

The two most inexcusable things last night was making the same mistake twice to allow a blocker kick. The same returned dropping a second punt. You can’t do that and win games. I can sort understand a single screw up, but they were repeated mistakes in the same game. Daniels made up for some of his earlier play with late game efforts; however, we were playing a mediocre Florida St team. LSU will get destroyed by the vast majority of SEC teams if they do not make drastic improvements at QB and other positions. LSU would not have even been in the game against an SEC opponent last night after the first 3 quarters.

no, that’s when Denbrock finally adjusted play calling to quicker shorter passes, because the OL couldn’t protect.

Then Daniels flourished. Our last 3 drives were all long TD drives and Daniels was very effective.

It's not Jayden's fault that Denbrock finally went to a tempo offense at the end of the third

Why are people using his stat line as a way of claiming he was good. Over half his yards came when FSU was essentially playing prevent. They were willing to give up the short throws.

The concern with Daniels was when Florida state was actually playing defense he never went through his progressions. First read then tuck it and run. That has to change especially with the talent in our receiving core.

I guarantee you it was somewhat a function of Florida St.backing off with a lead and not wanting LSU to get a big play. More of slightly poor coaching by FSU. It is the right move for FSU to be slightly conservative they just backed off too much. They also were stupid and unforced turnover to give it back at the end.
