This guy impressed me last night. He needs to block a little better, but he’s going to be really good.

He missed his block on the XP. Otherwise, he was fantastic.

5 catches in his first game. We got us a TE!

I think he was the left wing protection which allow the Fla State plyer come inside and block the extra point. That guy!?

Except the fact he missed the most important block of the game.

I'm going to be very sad if Kelly/Denbrok try to mold Taylor into something he's not (a block-first TE)

He's a receiving TE with questionable blocking. Think Mike Gesicki. A power slot. He needs to be developed with that role in mind.

Move his arse around and let his receiving be his primary threat. Like how we used Dickinson in 2007. I fear Denbrock has a very structured view of the TE and he'll be put on the end of the line and used as a blocker more than receiver.

He missed some blocks on running plays as well.

Well he's not a blocking TE so that's going to happen

There are like 3 TEs who are great at blocking and in the passing game. Kelce, Kittle, and Gronk (I don't think he's 100% retired yet).

Otherwise, your TE will either be a blocker or a receiver. Taylor is a receiver.

I thought he was great. It sucks that when I went to replay the XP and slow it down to see what went wrong; it was Taylor and Emory Jones on that left side. I dont think Emory was at fault, but there might be some adjustments there. Now Taylor did what you arent supposed to do which is try to block the outside player and leave the inside guy wide open. Learning experience. Both will be elite.

He is a freshman and while he sucks at blocking, he is at the other TEs level of blocking already.
