Got Asked The Dreaded Question Today

It’s the one every husband fears.

Wife tells me “I want to buy a used Peloton.”

I said no. She claims it’s cheaper than a gym membership (it’s not) and it does everything she needs (it doesn’t). She was looking for used ones because a bunch of people buy them and don’t use them and sell them. I told her she would too. She got mad and stormed off.

I don’t know why this is so difficult. We had a gym membership she never used so we cancelled. I’ve been telling her to get it back. Her excuse is she doesn’t have enough time.

She works from home and could go at least 4 days a week if she wanted to. Drop kiddos off, head to the gym, be home by 1000 at the latest. But that requires effort. And so does a Peloton. Just owning it is not going to make her take the time to do something. It will sit in our bedroom and take up space.

I’d be more apt to buy it if i knew she was going to the gym regularly and was doing this to save time. How have the husbands of the OT dealt with this dreaded question?
