great music and scene/stage/boss pairings

One of my favorite things in gaming is when the music/score of the game just absolutely nails the scene, setting, event etc. ive been thinking about some of my favorites and will link. What are some of yours? I guess it should go without saying, probably some big spoilers in this thread.
1. entering mexico - red dead
probably most of us know this one. F'ing iconic. At this point you've explored most of the map, at a turning point in the story. You have your first ride into mexico accompanied with a fantastic song.
2. max payne 3: airport
the final stage of the game. max has to tear arse through an airport over run with enemy police force to get to the baddy. TEARS starts pounding and its a blood bath.
3. Drug facility: Far cry 4
you raid a drug facility as part of the campaign, i cant remember the details. during it you and everyone else is exposed to hallucinogens. Things get more colorful and distorted as you go along. The song is Jogi and Panjabi MC and just fits so well. id skip to 3 minute mark for real craziness.
4. the final fight: ff6
your rag tag team ascend a tower of chaos to fight the final foe, a mad man turned god. Each stage of the battle transitions into a new part of the song. i linked a more modern version for better quality. i remember experiencing it on the snes. To me "dancing mad" is probably Nobuo's masterpiece. I'm sure many others would argue one winged angel over it. but cmon, you can forget everything pre 7 min mark and still awesome in its own>>> dancing mad distant world tour
5. the final ride: halo 3
halo 3, wart hog, explosions, iconic song. need i say more?
ill try to think of more but would love to see what you guys have as your personal favorites. ones i couldnt find good videos for but deserve a spot:
anytime fighting a dragon in skyrim to "the one they fear"
any dog fight in rebel galaxy to "when the devil calls"
red dead 2. a big gun fight in the snow. i distinctly remember part of it on horse back and the score just slapping. alternatively a social call scene.

I don't think it gets better than the Ocarina of Time. Running up the stairs in the castle with the eerie organ music playing Gannon's theme, only to enter the chamber and seeing Gannondorf playing it himself.

Especially when you’re like 12 and can’t believe you actually got to the castle. Still gives me chills.
A recent one that blew me away was Radahn in Elden Ring - Fromsoft hasn’t really been known for music but they killed it in this fight.

Metal Gear Ray fight- Metal Gear Revengence
LINK
The whole soundtrack kicks arse. Its not really my type of music per se but it works well for the game.
Clean hit exfiltration music- Hitman (2016)2,3.
LINK
Pulling off a clean hit and making your quiet exit as this theme plays in the background is one of the my most satisfying moments in gaming.
Leaving the Slient Cartographer and Rock Anthem for Saving the World kicks in-Halo CE

Persona 5 Royal has the best score of all time imo. The final boss they added for Royal has the without a doubt best run up music and fight song ever paired with a game.

Was coming in to say this
It's so simple, yet one of the best finishes to a game. Plus, the legendary ending scene and music to it is great
Legendary Ending
I'll add a couple from Halo 2:
Chief riding a bomb through space:
Giving the Covenant back their bomb
Arbiter finding out the Covenant is a lie
Delusions and Grandeur

Also entering Hyrule Field for the first time. My brain exploded. I honestly haven't felt that way until I played and beat Elden Ring.

excellent choice and was gonna put into my original list.
Radagon
i thought it was weird the title menu song was so awesome and not used anywhere else. Then you get to radagon, and well, there it is.

exactly type of thing i love. i would probably never listen to this song on its own, but with that gameplay and setting completely sets the mood.

some add ons after thinking
FF15
while not the best entry in the series, i think the intro scene with the 4 friends pushing their busted car and jabbing at each other while "stand by me" plays subtly really sets the mood for the adventure to come:
ff15 car troubles
ff10 yuna dance of the dead is a good mention for the series, but cgi and no gameplay so doesn't count.

Hard to capture it in a single clip, but the music from the original Subnautica game is like a character in the game. Your character doesn't have a voice and the only voices you hear (with 1 notable, telepathic exception) are either a handful of radio calls or voice logs recorded by other people. So, your only companion for 90% of the game is the ambient sound and music. The music changes with the biome and adds to the sense of tension and danger at times.
And, the music from This War of Mine is fantastic just on its own. Captures the bleak melancholy perfectly.

Shadow of the Colossus also has an epic soundtrack that matches up perfectly with the feel of the boss fights.

Good call. I had never played a FromSoft game and randomly got curious when Elden Ring came out. When I first fired it up, I heard that intro music and knew I was in for a pretty cool game.
Red Dead 1: Mexico is definitely up there for me. It transcended gaming for me, and I felt like I was playing one of my favorite movies of all time.
They tried to recreate it with the ride back to camp after Guarma in RDR2, but it didn't have the same effect. They did, however, nail it with two missions in the epilogue: Jim Milton Rides, Again? and American Venom.

no secret ive been a huge supergiant fan. All of their games have great soundtracks incorporated into gameplay. Bastion and Pyre being my favorites.
the liberation rites: pyre
for those not familiar you play as a team of exiles who compete for the chance to compete in the final rites once a year so someone can leave exile. The final game of the season is the rites of liberation and the song fits very well is its a somber event as even if you win, you say good bye to a friend forever. this is a really excellent game and worth checking out if you havent before.
