Kelly and his coaching staff will decide this weekend who will start at QB, but probably won’t make the announcement until Monday or Tuesday of next week.

Kelly feels it’s important to name one now but acknowledges it’s a close call noting to reporters, “If you were voting as a group in here, it might be split in this room,” Kelly said. “It's pretty close. I think you can probably understand why, for us, we're not jumping out there giving you a quarterback because they're both fine quarterbacks and it's that close. But we're going to have to make a decision here in the next few days.”

There remains a possibility that both quarterbacks appear against Florida State. Kelly wants to avoid a two-quarterback system, but he said recently that he “wouldn’t be surprised” if Daniels and Nussmeier both got an opportunity to play this season.
