Even if this country were to Balkanize, how do you solve the problems like Teedy in New Orleans and Jackson?
Just round people up and ship them to Chicago? Is there any saving these cities ?

It's a monument to US history. Of course it was removed. All such monuments will be removed until only monuments of The Struggle remain.
I am afraid that you are correct... For some reason I am saddened this morning. Oh Well.. Galveston can have my money.
Mom, Who was Washington?
I don't know son, but here is Mr. Dunn, the first black governor after the civil war.

I don't know son, but after it, he was the first black governor.

Pretty sure Mitch unilaterally took down the other statues

Why would anyone in their right mind live in a democrat run city?

Will they admit that Dunn, like PBS Pinchback and the other black LtGov during this timeframe, was a Republican?
I love when y'all throw this around like some kind of 'gotcha'
Republican in 1868 =/= Republican in 2022

The worst was when they renamed part of Carondelet Street after some pastor during a sham Council meeting that followed none of the applicable rules. Some members of the Council were even musing that they were totally out of order, but hey, let's do it anyway.

Let me guess.
“Muh parties switched!”
Democrats are as racist as they ever were, they just found it easier to control blacks with money instead of burning crosses

Weird, you folks are holding every other entity in history responsible for its past. But not the Democrat party.
I wonder why..

For years it's been a Washington Artillery monument, but they removed the cannon and it's going to be a monument to Oscar Dunn, Louisiana's black lieutenant governor, who was on office during Reconstruction.
That's pretty pathetic.
Why not make a new monument?

Not really. Democrats are just as racist as they've always been.

Because that doesn't sufficiently provide the extra added element of spite.

No, they didn’t. LBJ shifted them towards controlling people via a welfare state and then it’s shifted further and further towards batshit crazy progscum commie bullshite ever since. They sold their soul to identity politics and are now reaping the benefits

So Republican & Democratic platforms did not flip flop in the late 1800s into the 1900s? Ok. We're only concerned with who's the most racist, sounds about right.

No, they did not. That’s a lie that’s been sold by the democrats ever since people started pointing out that they were the party of the KKK (Robert Byrd ring a bell?)
