I believe they thought Noot could rehab but his arm health regressed in side sessions. No sense in prolonging the inevitable.

I think his timeline for recovery is a mystery to most everyone on the outside because he's almost a ghost on social media and nobody ever asks about him. When he does come back, expect some eye popping stuff. Honestly, I liked him as much as Shores (or, dare I say, more than Shores).

ETA: And if you’re referring to the Publix on Huntley parkway then we were likely neighbors in Pelham lol.

……. I lived at the Huntley Apartments for 5 or so years. Small world. You didn’t happen to be the person with the red BMW with the LSU markings on it were you?

We lived across the street at Grand Reserve from 2016-18ish prior to moving to south Calera near Emerald Ridge.

Nah, BMW would not be me and I don’t put stickers on our vehicles.

Gotcha. Yeah we “almost” moved to Grand Reserve but got a house in Calera and bolted. Small world.

It’s really disappointing that Noot’s surgery took place when it did.

Hopefully he and his family were locked in with the decision because if he ends up missing a large portion of 2024, that’s just a real bummer man and I’d hate for things to sour

“Same timeline as Coleman was” were words from Noot’s mouth. I don’t know the dude or anything, I just heard his direct response to the direct question about his return while my son was collecting autographs before a game.

I like the Bingham pick up.

A .360 average and 10 HR's will be a welcomed addition.

Didn't appear to have a Crews level arm from that clip. I'd say pretty average.

That throw from Montgomery was a seed.

Would love to get Holman added to the mix. He would be a solid Saturday starter or a really solid Sunday guy IMO.

A little further context on Noot’s comment…it was early this SEC season when we were seeing Coleman in the pen but not in a game yet.

That could mean two different things. It could mean he will be back next year around the same time as Coleman was this year or it could mean he will be out for the same amount of time , post surgery, as Coleman was. That wouldn’t tell us much if we didn’t know the exact day of surgery.

I’m guessing he meant the first one though

Portal target Mikiah Negrete committed to Fullerton.

Portal target and possible silent commit Jack Sellinger was drafted in round 14 but has not signed yet from what I can tell. It’s obviously still early and I’m not holding my breath, but it’s worth watching.

Moffett had another good outing tonight, 1 inning, no walks 2 Ks. Replay isn’t up yet, will try to watch tomorrow.

But a good outing on a back to back is very good to see.

ETA: and it looks like they took away the earned run from last night.

Would love to see Moffett make a big jump in ‘24. He’s got swing and miss stuff.

I'm not very knowledgeable of the summer baseball leagues but why they have such short outings?

How would you say moffett differs from shores? Both appear to just rare back and throw as hard as possible

Shores, before he got hurt, had better command of his pitches. Moffett had control issues early this past season. It appears that during his summer ball outings, Moffett has been improving greatly with his control and the walking of batters.
