I’m sorry but this is one of the dumber arguments I’ve seen on here.

So you think we will throw the ball 30 to 35 times a game with Jayden Daniels?

We just had two 5* committ WR.

You think they will catch 60 balls a piece with Daniels starting next year?

I think Daniels could be a very valuable asset when used, but I just don’t see him starting for LSU.

Didn’t Jordy report his sources indicate we were going to hire either Jimbo or Lincoln?

Some of you guys act like Daniels is incapable of throwing a forward pass. Good grief.

That isn't what I'm saying at all dummy.

His strength is read option and scrambling because he is an athlete.
His strength is not to stand in pocket and get the ball to our strength on offense which is the WR.
They will taylor the offense to his strength

This would have to be based on playbook knowledge and not on the soft passes with no pads.

He’s trash
He was trash in pac 12…. You think he’s somehow not going to be trash in the sec where they actually play some defense. Lol
This board is full of morons

If true, it must mean LSU is going to having a running QB, as a major part of the offense. Otherwise, LSU has to go with the best passer.

And from everything we've heard we WERE going to hire those 2 until the bottom fell out at the end.

Not really. I would just prefer a QB that is somewhat accurate and can push the ball down the field.

His third year in the Pac12, he threw 10 TDs to 10 INTs. That’s absolutely horrible. Especially in the weak arse Pac12. Why are you defending that?

Jordy didn't say anything the fans don't already realize.

If the offensive line is garbage like it was in 2020 when Myles was the QB, then having a pure pocket passer is less than ideal. It would make more sense to have a mobile quarterback.

So if the race has come down to Nuss and Daniels, it's probably because CBK isn't feeling very good about the OL, which would make sense because he has indicated this.

But none of that makes Brennan a bad player like posters on here are making him out to be. He just isn't the best fit for the team given the offensive line concerns.

My take on getting Daniels as a transfer was to have a solid choice as a backup.

Idk man Daniels has thrown multiple 300+ yard games before transferring.

Agree 100%.

Why would they make Jayden Daniels stand in the pocket and only make timely runs if that isn't his strength.

I am confident Daniels will play some, but I do not see him starting. I bet he gets a couple sets in the playbook. Especially for short yard situations.

We simply have too much talent at WR to not utilize them, and a read option QB is going to favor the run.

That being said... It won't matter if we can't block. So our OLine is, in my opinion, the key to this offense.

That is all im saying.
Daniels might be a fine starting QB if reciever wasn't our strength.

In 2019 we had great recievers and guess what we got them the ball and made timely runs.

Does everyone really think with Jayden Daniels we will be this passing team who will spread the ball all over the field.

Those receivers would, at most, play with Daniels one year. Him starting this year or next is largely irrelevant to what those guys will do over their careers here

Myles will be looking to transfer if he is seeing the writing on the wall that the media can apparently see based on watching a very small amount of practice.

Hasn't the window already closed for him to transfer and play elsewhere this year? or is the rule different for a grad transfer? He also has several NIL deals that may or may not contractually obligate him to stay put. Not to mention the season starts in less than 3 weeks. Where is he gonna go and be able to start with essentially no time with his new team?
