Am I missing something? Our roster is stacked.

How the hell is the over under for wins at 6.5? Anything less than 8 wins would be a complete failure of a season.

We have an entirely new coaching staff and we're going to be breaking in a new qb. We're also going to be starting an entire new o-line that will probably take a few games to gel. I think we go 8-4

Probably.
Depth is a major concern.

It’s without a doubt a top 15 talented roster in the country. Probably top 10. People have recency bias in college football and back to back .500 seasons ain’t a great look. I do fully believe that national media and even some fans grossly underestimate just how bad the coaching and culture were the last 2 years. Last years team should have been a 8-9 win team on paper talent wise.
I think this years team has a lot more going for it with players and coaching obviously.
LSU is still towards the top with talent

Over/over 6.5 if we start Nuss - I agree

Mascons did a segment saying Vegas insiders actually have our win total at 5 1/2. They bumped it up bc we are a big brand with many homers to bet on us. We finished the year last year with a wide out at QB and like 30 scholarship players. This season is an up hill battle

We don’t even know who the QB is. Also what part of our O line, RB room is stacked IYO?

It’s called “realistic expectations”.

Probably but a lot of the talent is unproven and not spread out well across all positions.
Most of the players have very little experience generally.
We're installing two new systems and an entirely new coaching staff.
And again, very little depth. Expect 8-4, there will be a couple of WTF losses this year and there are still some cultural problems to weed out.

Just be happy it’s that low and bet the over. Lets GEAUX!!

It was a real concern that we would forfeit our bowl game due to not enough scholarship players. Yet our roster is “stacked”…. Ok…. This is why BK is getting paid so much, to deal with shite like this

That’s exactly why Vegas’ projections are meaningless. How could they possibly project LSUs W/L when they haven’t seen the new offense or defense and they don’t even know who are QB is. That line is a shot in the dark put no stock in it

We had like 20 players academically ineligible lol it’s not like the roster was literally down to 39 we just had 39 scholarship players eligible. When they come out with the talent composite this year you’ll see LSU at the top

People like you set yourselves up for disappointment.
There's a difference between being a Negatiger and actually seeing the situation for what it is.

Onboard with the OP. Would have to be a complete disaster at QB for the contrary.
10-2.
CBK can handle high expectations.

They project it based off of the amount of unknowns, the tendency as a fan is to assume those unknowns will all work out well. Vegas isn’t playing that game, they are not fans of anyone. What if we were another team? Don’t know who QB is, and have huge questions at O line and running back.
