Where do you even hire 87,000 new agents from?
I don't think you can. Had an accountant tell me that IRS auditor is the most difficult position that the Feds have to fill. It is the job that nobody wants.

They plan to crush the small guy. Squeeze him with inflation, tax and confiscate the rest.

1. Nobody told you the IRS couldn’t get more oppressive because we have guns
2. It sounds like this gives you a chubby
3. There ARE things a government can’t or won’t do when it’s citizens are armed. I hope we never see them, but we probably differ there.

I hate big spending bills but as a CPA I can say first hand the IRS desperately needs people. They have about a 10% phone call answer rate right now and it’s hurting business. No we don’t want more foot soldiers to pick on small businesses but guess what, taxes still exist and our clients have complex tax issues and sometimes you have to talk to the IRS. Our job is much more difficult when they aren’t staffed and don’t answer the phone.

Accountants who go to work for the IRS are the worst accountants on the planet. I feel like working for the IRS is conduct detrimental to the CPA profession. People who do that should lose their licenses.
Are these Agents CPAs?
87k seems like a lot of hires to get done. So I was thinking we'll see H&R Block type companies struggling to fill roles after the IRS picks them dry. It will be like the IRS just acquired them and has satellite offices.
Mix of that and a crap ton of indoctrinated ivy league college graduates

He can slash the budget of the irs. And with a relatively competent congress it will pass

Alarming. A police state who can collect money.

Lol, those morons aren’t CPAs. You don’t even need an accounting degree.

So I take it you see the government raising an army to raid the coffers of millions of hard working law abiding citizens is a positive development because it gives you something to "own the cons" over?
Wow

No. Most CPAs aren’t going to work as at a GS7 level. People who have general business degrees, economics, maybe accounting-yes maybe if they can’t get something better.

Unemployed Lawyer Employment Program .

Yea, I can understand how a reinforced IRS collecting more revenue can reduce the budget deficit and bring inflation under control. I get that, but I don't like this massively increased level of surveillance, and sure didn't vote for this.

And Trump should state as much in one of his rallies. A few instances of calamitous interaction with honest and hard working folk standing their ground and off it goes. I remember some guy in Texas crashing his plane into an IRS office.

I still say this is the nail in the Dems coffin for midterms. Renewable energy to fight inflation? Stupid. They're gonna raise taxes, we new they would, since Dems are nothing more than lying jackasses. I can't wait to hear one of them debate how this is good for America.

Exactly.
In fact, EVERY GOP candidate that is even thinking of running for president should be saying this.
Every GOP congressional candidate should be saying their first bill in the next congressional will be to repeal this horseshite.

Yep. Since we’re the ones that are paying taxes to allow their voter base to enjoy a leisurely lifestyle, you would think that they would want us working. At some point, we’re all gonna say “frick it! I’m out” when the taxes get too high. Maybe that’s their goal..

So new jobs for 87000 registered Ds. Sounds pretty fair to me.
