Use to be Chili, not sure if that's still the case.
I use to eat twice a week at the Original Chili's in Dallas.
Never dreamed it would become a national chain.

LIV will win this lawsuit.
Not sure how its even debatable as far as the Anti-trust issues.
I'll bet money LIV wins.

They probably will due to judge shipping. However, in the end they will lose in my opinion. They will get the injunction.

Every other sport the pro's get paid. Football teams can go 0- for eternity and the players would still get paid.
Why should golf be different?

Are they employees? Do they want to be employees?
BTW, I think a minimum should be payed to those that miss the cut. I don’t they should go broke trying to figure it out, but I don’t think they should make a living missing the cut either. However, this may open them up to more control from the tour.

Simple analogy, professional golfers work on full commission. Any of you guys in sales and on full commission? When's the last time you made a call but didn't get the sale but your company paid you just for trying? Yep, that's not the way it works. No sale, no pay.
Making the cut is the same thing. Not making the cut is like not making the sale. Move on to the next call (next tournament) and make the sale (the cut).
I don't feel sorry for any professional golfer. This is the profession they've chosen. If you're not good enough to make it on tour then there are plenty of other jobs in the golf industry.

I fully understand your point. I probably shouldn’t have used the word should. I should have said I would be open to the idea of minimums. It really isn’t up to anybody us though.

You don't qualify in Nascar... All you get is the opportunity to try next week
(And you pay an entry fee to try)... Presuming enough cars for a full field

Lots of people can do sales, not a lot of people can be the best golfers in the world. When you have hard to aquire skills you have more bargaining power, it's very simple. It seems to be moving that players want minimums, you can't really replace the players so you either acquiesce or take a chance that your product sucks.

Apple to Oranges...
Pro's in football, baseball and basketball are required to play in every game. They are employees of the organization.
Pro Golfers are only required to play 15 times.
They have the freedom to choose when and where they play.
99.9 % of Tour players have a great life. They win a tournament they get a 2 year exemption. Win a major and its 5 years.
Between the Korn Ferry, the Tour and the Senior Tour, a decent player can play most of his adult life.

Ehh.. Lots of people can golf. But the elite in each ( and in pretty much any occupation) have leverage. But that's the point that's been presented here several times.. The PGA tour has no contracts with players and if things were to get bad enough...Rory JT Jon Rham et al could have a functioning new tour in 6 to 8 months ( and smaller made for TV events sooner) but more easily... Get the changes the collective of players want instituted out of PVB. But I do imagine a cut pool will be implemented with a annual cap ( meaning you aren't making 250k for missing 25 cuts) and there being some differential for past champions vs journeymen. ( Meaning more people are there to see Morikawa than John journeyman and if both miss the cut then there should be compensation accordingly. I think there will also be change to the year end social media payout. That's all going to be the Tiger annuity for several years so I would expect some tie to min events or FedEx points

There's maybe (huge emphasis on maybe) 500 people men in the world that people want to watch play golf. There's millions of salesman
