I would say it's a waste then (I still sorta think that) but he's a MASSIVE upgrade over all the other commentators they had for Russia.

John Strong is not terrible by any means, but there is something about his voice that annoys me.

I think it's his cadence, or lack thereof. He seems like a nice enough guy, but I almost have to keep him on mute. there's something incredibly off-putting that I also can't put my finger on
