Maybe so. I don’t know what they do with it once they get it. I sent in my book. No fricking way that thing didn’t have errors. I’m human. Never have they come check me without errors. Nothing ever came of it when it was sent in. Probably sitting in a box in a warehouse somewhere.

Someone should file a FOIA request on her phone.

Even if it's her personal phone, if she uses it for official business purposes in any way, then it's subject to FOIA.

Also when you give up your ffl they take possession of the book.

That's why I buy from a man who's given his son very specific instructions on what to do with his book when he dies.

They can call on that book at any time to track stolen weapons or other problems they may have.

Had them show up a few times over stolen guns/used in crime guns. ATF contacts manufacturer to get distributor's name. Distributor gives ATF the gun store's name. ATF contacts gun store to look through books to find original owner's name.

Hide your daughters, wife, and dogs. The JBT’s just haven’t gotten to you yet.

I just think that's actionable. Someone is going to have to get an injunction or something. At the very least push some discovery. GOA/NRA needs to get on this.

They even updated the 4473 so they can get all the info they want in one picture. They were having to take two pictures to get the persons information and the gun information.

This is not new, I first saw it in the mid 2010's...

The 4473 is not what they want. They want the disposition. Everything nice and neat and sorted out for you

I see some of y'all have never dealt with these bastards. They threaten you, a lot during the audit process. They tried to make us close one time for the audit, I asked if they were going to pay my family and employees. What they really wanted was an empty place to take pictures of all the 4473's. I was routinely threatened with taking my licenses, jail time and other legal crap when I asserted my rights. Eventually they would leave you alone, but twice I had to get a lawyer to come consult with me, and we made sure it was done in there presence. Sheriff's department doesn't care, they want to know what guns you have too, at least all the greater BR area ones. Livingston is the worst by far.

I have heard they are getting nasty with FFL. Biden said he wanted to shut down gun shops. Never did I have an issue with agents who did my inspection. Basically they just wanted to make sure you were doing it a certain way and everything was accounted for. But I haven’t had an FFL since Biden took over.

Serious question: has the ATF ever done anything good for this country?

They've been keeping records for a long while.

Anyone who thought the government would follow its own rules and not create a registry is a dolt.

Just curious, what are the Reg's on you, as an FFL, as it pertains to this data specifically? I assume that a warrant will get the info? And I also assume that the "Audit" is just a way for them to obtain this info without a warrant? All this above the law BS needs to stop...
