Maton has had his struggles this year but that deal still looks pretty damn good from my view. Straw would almost certainly be in AAA with us right now

Consider the source, but Heyman reported this morning the Astros have “keen interest” in Luis Castillo. Was lead item of his column. He said some WFAN guy of whom I’ve never heard was the first to mention it.

Castillo would be nice... and he could replace Stinky next season since he has one more year of control... but starting pitching is not the biggest need.
He'd be below Bell, Cooper, and Walker on my wish list.
And obviously below Soto or Ohtani, but I don't see those happening.

I think the smoke is real on Castillo interest but we'll see where it goes. I'd love to have him this year but I also think the threat of them letting JV sign elsewhere is real if they do make that trade.
And hopefully it really is the Mets and us most prominently after Bell because I'd think the Nats will pick a non-division rival to deal with, if our offer is anything close.

I wonder if the Castillo smoke is just to try to drive up the price for other contenders or as a smokescreen for other discussions. Unless you’re moving Stinky or another SP, I agree that SP is way down the list of Astro priorities.

Brown is almost certainly the centerpiece of a Castillo deal, and it may say what they feel about him as much as needing starting pitching also. Still seems like a long shot
ETA I do think driving the price for the Yankees and perhaps Seattle who legitimately need him this year is part of it as said above

What streams do y’all have most success with watching the Astros?
I’m in the MLB Blackout zone so been using StreamEast XYZ but that wasn’t working last night. Ended up using BuffStreams last night, but it only had the yankee broadcast.
Any suggestions? Would like to work on iPhone so can CromeCast to Firestick.
