Commercials, movies, TV shows, etc. men are either characterized as total goons, goofballs or absent participants in the family life OR womanizers, abusers, cheaters, etc.

This. People like me are suddenly considered "toxic" because I like the outdoors and generally stick by my opinions even after they are said to be "questionable". It's insane, I'm not some monster chugging fighter.
