I can’t wait to park my car over there at midnight and get my midnight munchie on. I feel safe and secure in that well-lit parking lot.

Sorry to hear this. I lived there for 12 years until we moved a couple years ago for a different school district. There were issues with home break-ins (I suspect having four roads exiting it made it an attractive target for thieves to get in and out easily) but I never really felt unsafe. Now this, the lady that was shot in the neighborhood across Antioch a couple years ago, and various incidents in Shenandoah - it seems the criminal element has begun to settle in to that corner of the parish. The flood certainly didn't help.

Absolutely not. Just think of the millions of americans who have to spend millions of collective hours each year commuting to work just to get the frick away from the trash. And then what always happens? Via cheap apartments and subsidized housing, the trash follows, like locusts. Forcing decent people further out, at great cost in time and money. It’s fricked up.

Yep, this is exactly what has happened to most of Buckhead. It's part of the reason I moved out.

Too bad interest rates are at like 6%. I’d move if the market wasn’t terrible.

A reliable source said this was a car vs car deal and just happened to happen on our street.

So was a Charger, Camaro, Mustang, Chrysler 200, Honda Accord, or Nissan Altima involved?

Man, if people are driving by shooting up houses, it's a bad neighborhood. Move. Now.

Houseboat is the only answer, the drive by types are allergic to water.

I wouldn’t call that a nice neighborhood. It’s been run down forever.

This.

Sure, you wouldn't expect this to happen there, though.

We moved out 16 years ago after most of the subdivision was going as rentals, and then my FLP neighbor chased her FLP husband down the street waving a pistol in the air
