Not gonna lie, Ted has been somewhat of a disappointment the past year or so. Voting for $40B to Ukraine, calling J6 protesters terrorists, the Cancun thing (I admit this was overblown, but still stupid). FWIW, I voted for Ted in the 2016 primary and was a big fan of his and Rand Paul in that primary.

He needs to get his shite together or Beta is going to be back trying to take another shot at him in 2024. He can pretty much forget about being POTUS at this point, but maybe Senate Leader, AG, VP or SCOTUS would be his ceiling.

Basic bitch conservative, tries too hard on sound bites to be cute (cannot stand his speaking style). Completely compromised when it comes to Middle East policy.

I like him and I get to vote for him. He has to work to win because a lot of people don't like him. If the Beto/Abbott race is close, Cruz is toast.

I’m a fan. He is what he is - a politician. However on that scale I like him more than most.

I also like his podcast. It’s typically good for some insights on happenings in congress.

I'd advise tempering your litmus test for politicians. You will likely find yourself in a position that your candidates won't win if subjected to an extreme purity test going forward. It's in the era of Trump we see this. I'd rather have a candidate that wins who mostly supports my positions than having a progressive like Beto as my governor or senator who doesn't support any. The democrats can play the republicans with conservative purity tests.

Typical bloviating Texan that really is nothing more than a fast talker.

Since you mentioned Rand, I voted for him also and would do it again in a heartbeat.

At the end of the day, I still vote for all these bastards. Hell, I have voted for Mitch McConnell every time he has been up election, and I hate him worse than almost anyone in that stinking beltway.

But doesn't mean we can't demand Republicans do better. And that doesn't mean he has to be some loony blowhard. Rand Paul is a good example of someone who doesn't try to make a spectacle of himself, but is true to his beliefs no matter which way the wind is blowing. Be more like Rand.

If the GOP goes back to pushing someone like the turtle then they deserve to lose in every election. I would never vote for that prick. If that happens the GOP is officially dead.

No more Rinos!!!

The term RINO is way overused. A lot of people with that title from the board have kept the Dems from doing a lot of crazy shite the past 18 months. If it were in name only we wouldn’t have a filibuster anymore and we’d be headed further off the rails than we already are.

Both Rinos and the Dems lead to the death of this nation. They just go at it in different ways. The Dems kill you quickly and the Rinos torture you very slowly then you die. Picking the lesser of the evils just doesn't work and doing so doesn't prevent the inevitable painful ending that is coming.

Exactly. Going 20 or 100 over the cliff is irrelevant

Huckster Canadian shill carpetbagger . He’s just a more articulate version of Sen. Kennedy. Sounds good but never really rocks the boat.

Why do we as conservatives and GOP voters settle for this. Like playing defense is just good enough. Why the hell when we have both houses and the Presidency (which we will in '24) won't the GOP politicians actually go on the offensive? Eliminate the Department of Education. Get rid of HUD/HHS and all the other unconstitutional agencies. Clean the Marxists/SJWs out of our military.

Nope, Ted will issue some snarky tweets. But, when it's nutcutting time, he'll fold like every other GOPer.
